Typefaces are increasingly becoming very important in graphic design, advertising and art around the world. The type of font used in an image can do a great deal in helping that image convey a certain message or emotion. For example, for a strong, clear message one might use a large, bold typeface that is clear and easily to look at.
This image of the Periodic Table of Typefaces is an awesome illustration of exactly what typefaces demonstrate in today's modern perspective of art and design. I particularly enjoy it because its a periodic table and well, I love science!! The image holds examples of over two dozen typefaces and is able to convey the fact that there are many varieties of fonts available to use. At the same time, the photo is a clear advertisement for typefaces themselves!!
